As you can see in the video, Ethan made a game of how quickly he could get the lights and sounds going. I have seen video of younger babies playing with the same toy and the action/reaction (they pound, the lights and sounds go) encourages them to continue playing (and learning!). Ethan spent quite a bit of time playing with the buttons, slider and mouse. Even at 3 years old, he still enjoyed manipulating and getting a response.
The Vtech Baby’s Learning Laptop has a sturdy construction, a pleasant color scheme (both the primary and pastel versions) and the overall learning/play quality if great. I could see this toy, if purchased at the younger end of the age range, being played with for a couple of years. Ethan has asked if he can bring it to bed with him to play with it (yes, I know it’s pink… we have a special little girl that is going to receive it
