Tukaiz is using image personalization technology to create personalized calendars in an artistic way… available online and perfect for the holiday season. These unique items incorporate the recipient’s name into an image so it appears as if the photo was originally taken that way— like leaves on the ground spelling out their name or snow on a car that appears as if someone took their finger and drew the name right on the windshield.
If you want a cool, creative gift for less than $20, these calendars are perfect. It is fun to use the interactive site, play around with different images and names before you buy. It is equally exciting for the recipient when they receive a calendar with their own name integrated into the image. The company also offers personalized invitations, holiday cards, notebooks, folders, banners, and note cards.
My Take:
It has become somewhat of a holiday tradition for our family to give my dad a personalized calendar of some sort. We’ve allowed the children to draw artwork for each month, or I would sort through all our pictures for the year and make one like that, but when I was contacted to review this calendar… curiosity got me. I spent quite some time playing around on the site and it was actually fun to see how they integrated my dad’s name into different scenes. The name in the snow actually looks like our van!
These are photos of the actual calendar I received. You can go to their interactive site, type in the name you want and preview! They have several different themes to choose from. The calendar itself was made of a nice medium weight material, not too flimsy. I was very pleased with the calendar… I think the only thing I would suggest to make it even better would be to add a third word. I think it would have been even more special if it said “We love Papa” in the photos. I did try to fool the computer and put “we love” in the first name box and “Papa” in the last name, but some of the photos did not turn out right. I still have a great gift for our Papa to remind him we love him monthly! (Update: I have been informed that if you put “We Love Papa” all in the first name box that it will show up properly on every picture. Thanks for the tip! Wish I had known when I made my calendar!).

The wall calendar measures 11” x 17” and is hung with a double-wire binding. You can purchase it for $19.99. They also offer a desk calendar that stands 5”W x 7.5”H with a built-in easel. You can purchase the desk calendar for $14.99.
