I needed something that we could use in the van because we live out of it. We eat many meals on the go, do homework while waiting for practices to get over, and color to keep busy. We also occasionally have casual meals on the couch at home while watching a movie. I thought these would be great for holding drinks & food easily without the bulk of TV trays.
We’ve been using the LapFit trays for a little while now, and they seem to be working pretty well. The kids absolutely love the sauce holders That’s probably my favorite feature too. We’ve had way too many sauce spills in the past & the holder eliminates all that. I like the cup holders which are great for fast food cups. The only thing I would add to the cup holders is a bottom. When we have cans of pop or water bottles, the cup holders can’t hold them. They slip right through. I really love that the LapFit is easy to clean. I can put them in the top rack of the dishwasher & they come out looking like new.
The LapFit trays have a great feature that works well for doing homework or coloring. You can place the flat cover over the eating surface & it’s nice and smooth (and clean!) to write without any bumps. There’s a pencil groove on the side so that pencils/crayons don’t roll off. This has come in very handy for doing homework on the go.
Finally, the underside of the LapFit trays have “leg mounts” that keep the tray in place when making turns while driving. This is a great feature and it works well, but my kids sometimes complain that the “bumps” are bothering them. Many times it’s simply because they have shorts on that are riding up while sitting, so the plastic is directly on their skin. Other times it’s just because they’re grouchy. They’ll find anything to complain about when they’re tired & cranky!
Overall, I think the LapFit is a great product that has been obviously created by parents who know what families need. They really thought about the various needs of families on the go & have made a product that anyone can use.

I wish that this was around when my kids were little – certainly makes eating in the car neater and cleanup easier!
I went to the site to see what I would like and honestly would love the tray my sons are 6 and 12 and loves the tray that we have and they are not as good as these ones so I know they would love this.
I love that LapFit is designed by a mom to make life easier, it is a great idea and product.

I absolutely love everything about these! The way it has different compartments, fits on the lap with the cutouts for the armrests! And that it has a desktop too! I have my grandchildren in the car with me for an hour and a half everyday and this would be awesome to have! Never heard of these before. I know all of my grandchildren will want these!
