Kernel Season’s Popcorn Seasoning Review [CLOSED Giveaway]

Kernel Season’s began in a college dorm room at the University of Michigan.The founder, Brian Taylor, made popcorn every night and created his own personal spice blends to toss into it. Friends and fellow students loved it. People came knocking on the door asking for the special seasonings. After contacting a team of flavor experts they tweaked the flavors. It took them over two years until they were just right.

When Kernel Seasonings contacted OurKidsMom to review their new spices they found the right household. We pop corn on the stove on an almost nightly basis. Normally we cook one of three varieties… plain oil popped, kettle corn and cinnamon. When I opened our goodie box of spices the kids were literally jumping up and down.

We popped up a nice big batch and went lightly on the salt so we could experience the full flavor. Each of us used a different seasoning and we all shared. Emma’s favorite chip flavor has been sour cream & onion… so her first choice was that. She devoured the bowl and agreed it was “yummy”. My favorite flavors of the bunch were white cheddar, parmesan & garlic and pumpkin spice. The milk chocolate caramel was an intriguing flavor that most the family liked. I didn’t dislike it, but preferred the pumpkin or parmesan & garlic.

There wasn’t a single seasoning that we did not enjoy. We all had our favorites and that is typical in a large family. I still crave plain oil popped popcorn most nights, but the kids ask for flavoring every time I serve it.
