Hallmark Recordable, Interactive & Keepsake Christmas Memories

We’ve always looked to Hallmark to commemorate special events in our lives. Just today we drove two towns away on a hunt for Ethan’s Captain American ornament. Hallmark has so many items that help make the holidays special and bring them to life that when they asked if we’d like to try their new interactive, recordable and keepsake items I had to say yes.

Keepsake Ornaments: More than just decorations, Keepsake Ornaments capture the memories of the holidays, commemorating the events, relationships and interests that shape your life throughout the years.

We have been collecting Keepsake Ornaments for 24 years now. We usually pick something relevant to the kids, so this particular ornament was a fun one to receive. Once batteries are installed you can turn the dial to the correct date for the North Pole Countdown. A cute little radio program will play talking about how many days are left until Christmas. My kids clamor to turn this every morning to hear what it’s going to say next.

Recordable Storybooks: Record a story for loved ones no matter where you are this season with the help of Hallmark Recordable Storybooks. With fun illustrations and music, you can add your voice to a holiday story that can be replayed time and again by a special kid in your life. New titles include All I Want for Christmas, Jingle’s Magic Christmas and Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer.

Emma & Ethan both received recordable storybooks earlier in the year, so when they saw this one about Rudolph they were excited to hear me “read” it to them. It warms my heart to hear them open their books after we’ve tucked them in so they can hear me “read” it to them even when I can’t be there. My voice was recorded at a great sound level and was crisp and very understandable. The batteries seem to have a decent life to them as well because I haven’t needed to change them yet. When I do need to, I am glad to know that the voice recording will stay. I hope to some day be able to purchase these books for grandbabies and send them to them just because.
