Back to School with pediped Footwear
I learned about pediped late in my parenting career (child number 3). It wasn’t until Emma was ready to start taking her first steps that I was aware of just how important quality footwear was for growing feet. She has had a pair of pediped shoes in her closet ever since as has her little brother Ethan.
When starting my Back to School shopping list for the kids, pediped shoes were one of the first items included. Ideally, pediped should be on every back to school list of things needed for kids. Think of all the running, jumping, skipping and standing our children do at school. Their little feet take a beating… I feel much better knowing they are wearing shoes that promote healthy growth.
The easy decision is to purchase pediped. The hard decision is picking just one (or two) pair. They have so many cute styles… from tennis shoes to Mary Janes, all made with your child’s growing feet in mind.
I choose a pair of skater style shoes for Ethan to wear with jeans for more of a casual dressy look.
About Jones Khaki
Jones is a sport style with a casual twist. This khaki sneaker features fun stripes across the top and down the sides.
- Suede upper
- All natural rubber sole
- Casual athletic sneaker with Velcro strap that stays securely in place
- Features Flex Fit System™, which allows children to adjust the fit of their shoes and prolong the length of wear.
- Approved by the American Podiatric Medical Association for promoting healthy foot development
I love that pediped offers a Flex Fit System. The Flex Fit System™ provides additional insoles that can be inserted for a snug fit then removed for room as your child’s foot grows. These insoles can reduce shoe size by almost half a size, extending the life of the shoe. This means purchasing fewer shoes and extending the life of your favorite shoes. Seriously, some of the shoes are so cute that if they grew out of them as quickly as they do other brands I would be buying two of them at a time.
Ethan’s new Jones shoes in Khaki give him the look of a “tie shoe” with the convenience of a Velcro closure. He still gets frustrated with tying shoes and likes that they look like big kid shoes.
As we finished up our little photo shoot Ethan stopped me before I could go inside. With a big grin on his face he told me “LOOK MOM! Look how high my new shoes make me jump!”. I’m fairly certain it wasn’t the shoes, but he loves them enough and they are comfortable enough for him to feel like they can help him be extra strong/big. That makes me smile .
Need another reason to buy pediped? pediped® will give back to schools as part of its pediped® ’s Schools initiative this fall
Enrolled schools will receive 10% back on all attributed purchases giving parents another reason to shop the award-winning brand
Schools everywhere will have yet another reason to celebrate the start of a new school year. On July 24, 2013, pediped® launched ‘pediped ‘s Schools’, a new, one-of-a-kind, giving campaign where participating schools will receive a check for 10% back on their total attributed purchases of pediped® Footwear. Each school can earn up to $10,000 per year.
School officials and leaders of the PTO or PTA are encouraged to enroll their school to best spread the word. Parents and teachers may also enroll their school into the program. Each school will receive a unique code upon enrollment. Members of the school and community should use this code at checkout when making a purchase on pediped.com or in any pediped® owned boutique (located in Las Vegas). pediped® will compile and track the purchases attributed to each school’s code and each school will receive 10% back on their total combined purchases. Purchases will be tracked now until May 15, 2014 and schools will receive their checks in June 2014. Any purchases made after May 15 will roll over to the next school year.
