Weekly Weigh In : Weeks 37/38 & 33/34 on Nutrisystem #NSNation

weeklyweighinIt’s been 38 weeks on Nutrisystem for myself and 34 weeks for Kaytlin.

I went to start my weigh in post for this week and realized that last weeks never posted… oops! So, I will just update both weeks.

Because we have been running and watching our weight climb, Kaytlin and I decided to find other ways to measure our success. We have quickly realized that sometimes the scale lies!!!!

We found a home body fat % calculator online to start tracking other “off scale” victories.

According to this calculator, in three weeks I have lost 5 lbs of  body fat. 

According to my scale at home, I’ve lost 1… so I’ve gained 4 lbs of muscle in three weeks… woo hooo!!!! It’s strange to see my calf measurement go up, but my legs are looking so much more tone and the muscles are definitely more defined.

I’ve had a couple of other off scale victories as well. I am finally down another pant size. I had to go shopping while we were camping because my shorts just wouldn’t stay put anymore. When we got back to the hotel I promptly tossed my big shorts in the trash can. I’m never going there again!

I also “went shopping” in my skinny drawer. I have noticed my shirts getting bigger and bigger but I just couldn’t justify buying new ones. Yesterday I put on a t-shirt from that drawer and it fit! I haven’t worn that shirt since 2005… six years ago and before Emma and Ethan!

So, let’s get to the business at hand… I know you are curious how we did…

This week I gained 1.2 lbs

That puts me at  30.4  lbs in 38 weeks

Kaytlin has also been tracking on the body fat %age page. The calculator says she has lost 7.6 lbs of body fat in 3 weeks.. the scale says she’s lost 3.2. That would make 4.4 lbs of muscle she has gained in 3 weeks!
 
Last week Kaytlin gained .8 lbs last week.
This week she lost 2.8 lbs
That makes a total of 43 lbs in 34 weeks!

    After reading how well you both are doing, I’m going to suggest Nutrisystem to my sister. I’m so proud of her that she just celebrated one year of not smoking on July 20th! Unfortunately she has gained weight in the process and has tried other diets without success. Nutrisystem sounds like the healthier way to lose weight.
