It’s been 15 weeks on Nutrisystem for myself and 11 weeks for Kaytlin.
Wow, what a week. Let’s just say… well… it sucked.
This was worse than the holidays hands down.
Let’s start with Valentines Day. A beautiful box of chocolate covered strawberries arrived (my fault) and I thought (imagine an angel on one shoulder and a devil on the other, both whispering in my ear) okay… they are berries. Just skip your dessert. (that would be the devil talking to me). Then I thought, maybe you shouldn’t have any (that would be the angel talking). I thought I’d go middle road and eat just one. Who am I kidding… after 1 bite I knew it was over. I ate five. *sigh*
My husband and I went out to eat for our gift to each other. My husband has been wanting Indian food for a while now, and I thought (again with the devil and angel fighting on my shoulders) just take it easy on the bread and you should be okay. I had just a little of everything and decided to fill the rest of my tummy with a salad (that would be the angel talking to me!).
I made my salad and was happy to see cucumbers and peppers on the bar. I devoured my cucumbers (one of my favorite veggies) and chomped into my “green” pepper. Why was my “green” pepper getting so freaking hot in my mouth?! OMG! I thought I was going to die!!!
Water… water…. WATER!!!!!!!
That wasn’t helping… sweet husband said to try bread, that should help.
One piece… nope, still hurt like heck.
Two pieces… nope, still burning bad (insert tears here).
After four pieces the fire was finally dying down. What did the trick you ask? I’m not sure what it is called, but waitress said it was ice cream (on a stick).
Oh my heavens… what a relief.
Who the heck serves jalapeño peppers on a salad bar that only contains lettuce and cucumbers?
I will never look at a green pepper the same way again. (Oh, I looked up the bread? Over 300 calories for half a piece! *gasp*)
That wasn’t the end, though. Oh my… sugar free peanut butter cups. Yes, they “talked” to me, too. This was one of the worst hormonal times of the month I have ever had. EVERTHING was talking to me.
Then I tweeted. I mentioned what a bad week I was having and I was going to need support. I was scared to weigh in.
This is why I love Nutrisystem and the #NSNation so much.
The support (safety net). They were there to catch me and not let me fall any further.
No judgment, only support.
So, although the scale moved a small amount in the wrong direction this week…
I know I am still loved.
They still support me.
They don’t think I’m a failure.
I know I can get back on track and win this battle!
So, although it makes me very sad to post this…
this week I gained. I am up .2 lbs.
That puts me at 24.8 lbs in 15 weeks

Kaytlin. I don’t think she did as poorly as me. To be honest, she is still snoozing away while I write this LOL. Maybe that’s what I need a little more of, too?
Anyway… I digress. Kaytlin has had a stressful week at school. In a nutshell, she is taking a class she was looking forward to and because of a change in instructors… well, she isn’t enjoying it now. It stinks, but there is nothing she can really do about it. Her old instructor moved to Florida.
I have watched her eating habits while at home (she is gone most of the day Monday through Thursday). Although I wish she would eat throughout the day instead of mostly in the afternoon and evening, I am very proud of her and her resolve to stay on track.
I have noticed more and more the changes happening for her physically. I am both proud and jealous ;O).
So, drum roll please………………….
She lost .8 lbs this week!
That makes a total of 28.8 lbs in 11 weeks!
