There are some lessons in life that are easy to teach, such as sharing, being kind, listening and obeying. There are some lessons in life that are harder to teach, like making good choices. This can be easy if the choices seem easy. But there will come a time when the choices SEEM good, but in fact are not.

I don’t rely on TV and movies to teach my children, but if they get to learn a good lesson while watching, that’s fine by me! This is why we love Veggie Tales movies. They are super cute, and short enough that they hold the attention of the 2.5-year-old!

There is a new Veggie Tales DVD out called The Little House That Stood. It’s the parable of the Wise and Foolish Builders – A lesson in Making Good Choices.

Along with the cute little show about making good choices and following God’s plan for your life, there are some fun “extras”. You can learn about the history of Mother Goose, and have fun with three Sing-Alongs.

Big Sis really loved watching this movie. She enjoyed the story of the three builders. She enjoyed the songs. She was able to pay attention the whole time. It’s fun because as she watches these DVDs a few times, I know that she will be getting a good lesson from them. I like that I can let her watch them in the van and know that they won’t be scary or have parts that need to be skipped. I like that I can trust that the Veggie Tales DVDs will be safe and fun for all ages!
