Logitech Ultrathin Keyboard Cover For iPad

Let me introduce you to my (well, my husband’s) iPad’s best friend… the Logitech Ultrathin Keyboard Cover.

When I say ultra thin… I mean ultra. thin. and ultra light. I was so surprised I made my husband check it out before I even used it.

Look at these specs!

  • Height 189.85mm (7.47 inches)
  • Width 241.20mm (9.50 inches)
  • Depth 9.96mm (0.39 inches)
  • Weight 355g (0.78 pounds)

When coupled with the iPad you still have a very thin, light and manageable device to take with you on the go. When placed next to the iPad, the magnetic hinge easily clicks on like a smart cover. Best yet, it acts like a smart cover and puts the iPad to sleep when you “close” the two together.

Using the keyboard with the iPad starts with a simple Bluetooth connection. If you decide not to dock the iPad on the keyboard you have a range of 10 meters to work with.

The groove in the keyboard is meant to hold your iPad at the perfect angle. I loved that as soon as I put the iPad in the groove I heard a little click. The groove is magnetic to hold the iPad snugly in place while using the keyboard making this great for even “not so stable” places like your lap (great for travel!).

So now you are saying… all of that is great, but how did it perform? I found the size of the keyboard easy to adjust to and it responded well to my keystrokes. With a battery life of up to six months I know that I can bring it along when I’m traveling and be able to rely on it without fail.
