Did you know?
Today, Americans are overscheduled, overly uptight and under their fun quota with nearly 75 percent citing their responsibilities get in the way of being able to have fun.
With more than one third of Americans feeling guilty taking time away from work and responsibilities, Shout® created Shout It Out as way to inspire and enable Americans to have fun, live out loud—and get a little messy.
Are you ready to find your fun again?
This year Shout® is sponsoring The Color Run as a way to celebrate and help Americans find their fun again!
My husband and I are taking three of our children to experience the Color Run in Kansas City, MO this weekend.
How the event works:
Less about your 10-minute-mile and more about having the time of your life. It’s about running, laughing, and dancing through the course together. The Color Run is a five-kilometer, un-timed race in which thousands of participants, or “Color Runners”, are doused from head to toe in different colors at each kilometer. With only two rules, the idea is easy to follow:
- Wear white at the starting line
- Finish plastered in color!
The fun continues after Color Runners complete the race with an unforgettable Finish Festival. This larger than life party is equipped with music, dancing and massive color throws, which create millions of vivid color combinations. Trust us, this is the best post-5k party on the planet!
Check out the site to find out when & where The Color Run is coming to a city near you and register!
To help Americans find family-friendly, messy fun right in their own neighborhood, Shout® has worked in partnership with Yelp to launch the Shout It Out Fun Finder found on ShoutItOut.com, enabling fun for everyone. Users can plug in their address or neighborhood and will get a list of fun activities served by nearby locations.

I think this is so awesome. My sister and brother live in Texas and they participate in the color run. Very cool experience they say it was. One day I hope I can join in with them.
