Pizza has become a weekly meal for us and I am always on the hunt for an easy but yummy crust. For years now (since I was a pre-teen) I have used a Betty Crocker recipe that does not call for yeast or rising. It is a little dense, but the family likes it okay. This week I wanted a little more airy dough but didn’t want to wait for a rise and punch down (who wants to work on pizza dough for hours, right?). This one was a hit with the family! … [Read more...]

Joshua is 14 and has been at an age for a couple of years now that he says he doesn’t need a costume and that he isn’t going to trick or treat, and then he tosses on his costume from 3 years ago the night of Halloween and goes. It’s inevitable… the pull of free candy is too hard to resist. When Anytime Costumes offered to let us review a costume and I noticed they had teen/adult sized costumes, I made Josh search the site with me. At first … [Read more...]
Weekly Weigh In Weeks 43 and 39 on Nutrisystem #NSNation
It’s been 43 weeks on Nutrisystem for myself and 39 weeks for Kaytlin. We did it! Both Kaytlin and I ran our first 5k… the Susan G. Koman race for the cure! It was difficult because there were so many walkers (we did non-competitive) and we had to weave in and out (even on the sidewalk). BUT, we DID IT! Our running has slowed down considerably since. For some reason I just am not tolerating the heat as well… right now it’s reaching over … [Read more...]

The Big Bang Theory Season 4 Coming to DVD 9/13!
I absolutely love watching The Big Bang Theory. The guys are so socially awkward it’s cute adorable. In reality, I think brainy guys are more appealing anyway. Really, who wants to date a guy that is superficial and into himself &/or only interested in your outward appearance. I’ll admit it… this group of guys are diamonds in the rough. If you can get past their overly analytical minds and look into hearts (and maybe a new hair style and some … [Read more...]
