Oneida Ltd. Today Throughout the economic, social and political changes that Oneida has seen during its history, the company’s reputation for excellence and brand recognition has remained unshakable. An independent national consumer study has found that 90 percent of consumers name Oneida as the first company they think of when asked about stainless steel flatware—an invaluable measure of the Oneida brand’s strength. Just as importantly, Oneida’s workforce has maintained its dedication even through the most trying of times — adapting some original community ideals to fit the modern-day goal of being a complete tabletop supplier. “The dignity of work” has been a constant theme; every job is recognized as an important contributor to the company’s success. Brand recognition, product quality and dedicated employees are enduring strengths that form the backbone of the company as it moves forward. |
We have been married for 22 years and we are still working on upgrading our kitchen items a little at a time. We figure, if it’s not broken…. why replace it? Right? Wrong! Oneida has changed my mind…
When Oneida contacted me about a review I happily agreed. I have heard so many great things about Oneida flatware… I was eager to find out if what I had heard was true.
We were sent a 20 piece service for 4 in the Ensemble pattern, a Paul Revere Child and Baby Flatware 2 piece Set and a Pro Series Hard Anodized Griddle to review.
Contemporary Curves. Featuring a modern take on the classic fiddleback silhouette, Ensemble is understated and fresh. Each handle has a curvy contour that has a hint of romance mixed with contemporary appeal.

I have to admit… I am blown away by the Ensemble flatware. As I was taking them out of the box I could feel the difference immediately. They have substantial weight to them. After eating with them for the first time one of my children told me that eating with this set made them feel like they have been eating with plasticware their entire life. I must say, the set we had before was not cheap by any means… but it was purchased because it was affordable and it would work for us (at the time). I like the simplicity of the Ensemble design and that it is not overly fancy, but would work for a nicer dinner during the holidays and such. And, yes, we are purchasing more so all six of us (plus dinner guests) will have a place setting!
A Classic that Grows With Them. Little Paul Revere, like the big version of this ageless pattern, is appealing with subtle contoured details that tiny diners will love to use and find easy to hold. This set is a perfect way to introduce the joys of using flatware to your little one. The baby fork and spoon are perfectly sized for little hands and mouths. Kids get a kick out of the grown up look of their very own flatware as much as adults love the quality craftsmanship.

The Paul Revere Child and Toddler set is the perfect size for Ethan to maneuver and when he spills from the spoon, it’s not near as big of a mess as when he uses adult sized flatware. The fork has rounded tips but they are still solid enough to stab food. I am very pleased with this set and will be giving one away at an upcoming baby shower.

Last, but certainly not least, is the Pro Series Hard Anodized Griddle. Since starting Nutrisystem I have been using our old griddle every morning to cook up veggies (Oh my…. I love cooked mushrooms… yum!). Recently I noticed that the non-stick coating was wearing thin in our old griddle, so I was excited to try a “pro-series” griddle. I instantly noticed that things were not sticking. I also noticed that this griddle was pretty heavy with a nice sturdy handle. I’ve been using it for a couple of weeks now on a daily basis and I will happily admit I tossed the old griddle in the trash can after using this once. Yes, it was that good. I am hoping that this griddle will outlast it’s 10 year warranty. If not, I am pretty sure we will be looking at another Oneida!
You can purchase the 20 piece service for 4 in the Ensemble pattern for $39.99 (on clearance … regular price $120) , the Paul Revere Child and Baby Flatware 2 piece Set for $12.99 (sale price… regular $18.00) and the Pro Series Hard Anodized Griddle for $27.99 (sale price… regular $65.00).

That griddle would be perfect for us! We actually don't have one, at all and could REALLY use one!
love that they make ones for kids, I hate those dumb plasic forks, kids need real stuff that works, and the griddle looks amazing
