Whilst many will point out that the travel restrictions applied following the pandemic have halted tourism and our ability to go on vacation, it has also prevented family and friends living abroad from seeing each other. Of course, with the likes of instant messaging and video calling we have still been able to stay in touch with our loved ones, but not being able to see then as easily as we would have liked is something which many have found tough to bear. With this being said, that distance doesn’t mean that you cannot arrange things which will let your loved ones know that you care deeply about them, and here are some tips on doing just that.
Hamper Delivery
Sending a care package from the other side of the world is something which is bound to let the recipient know that you are thinking of them. Last year I managed to send a hamper to my friend in Australia and I can’t tell you how happy she was when she received it. I arranged a hamper deliver in Sydney from Persons Gifting and they went to great lengths to ensure that it was perfect for my friend. Services like this exist the world over, a great idea for a gift.
Handwritten Letter
Not all gestures have to be grand of course and something as simple as a handwritten letter can be very powerful. We live in an age where nobody does this any longer, too many people instead decide to send emails or text messages, which can feel a little impersonal. A handwritten letter is completely the opposite, it shows you have taken the time and effort to send them something, letting them know what is going on in your life.
Flowers
There is nothing better than getting a knock at the door, heading to answer it to be greeted by a big bunch of flowers. This can easily be arranged for your loved one from anywhere in the world and it is bound to put a smile on their face. Not only this but because those flowers will be on show, in a vase for at least a week or so, each time they see them they will think of you. A perfect way to make your presence felt.
Join a Club
Another great gift idea is to sign up your friend or family member to some kind of club which will send them products on a monthly basis. For example you could consider a wine club or a coffee club, which will send them tasters of new products each month. This is truly a gift which keeps on giving and each month when they receive their delivery, they will certainly be thinking of you.
No matter the distance which sets you apart, we live in a world where it has never been easier to make your presence felt to a loved one across the seas, and these are some great ideas on doing just that.
