Homemade Orange Creamsicle Freezer Pop Recipe

Orange creamsicles have always been a favorite of mine. The refreshing taste of oranges with the creamy “ice cream” like center… just the sound of them makes my mouth water.

Now we can make orange creamsicles at home with just 4 simple ingredients!

This recipe makes about 3 pops and is being made in the Zoku Quick Pop Maker. I have seen these at our local Marshalls and Ross stores, you can pick one up on Amazon or just follow the directions included for the “non-Zoku”.

INGREDIENTS

1/2 cup Orange Juice

1 cup Heavy Cream

2 tbsp Sugar

1 tsp Vanilla Extract

Mix together cream, sugar and vanilla.

Zoku directions:

Pour Orange juice in maker up to fill line.

Place stick in position.

Wait 3 1/2 minutes.

Use suction tool to remove unfrozen juice from center of maker or carefully pour off unfrozen juice.

Fill this now empty space with cream mixture.

Wait 5 minutes or until cream in set (frozen).

Use tool to remove pop and place in freezer.

 

Non-Zoku directions:

Mix together cream, sugar, vanilla and orange juice.

Pour mixture in popsicle molds or small paper cups.

Place in freezer for 10-15 minutes or until mixture begins to firm.

Insert sticks and return to freezer for several hours.

Use hot water to release from molds.

  10. If you are not using a Zoku:
  11. Mix together cream, sugar, vanilla and orange juice.
  12. Pour mixture in popsicle molds or small paper cups.
  13. Place in freezer for 10-15 minutes or until mixture begins to firm.
  14. Insert sticks and return to freezer for several hours.
  15. Use hot water to release from molds.

    Those reusable popsicle sticks come in handy, so many cold treats you can make. The kids love them. Great recipe to whip up and enjoy on a hot day, and its good for you. Vitamin C!!!

    creamcycles used to be one of my fav when i was young. like your recipe, but i would use alternatives to the heavy cream and sugar, too fattening.
