Find Your Halloween at Kmart

When someone mentions Halloween, I instantly think trick or treating, decorating, parties, pumpkin carving and candy.

Did you know, this year, Americans will spend an average of $72 on Halloween, $7 billion overall (National Retail Federation, 2014)?

INSANE!

This year we decided to make our dollar go a little further and have our candy bowl a tad bit fuller by shopping for our supplies at Kmart.

Emma and Ethan both had definite plans for their Halloween costumes this year.

My mission was to make it happen on budget. Fortunately Kmart has a nice variety of costumes to choose from at a decent price.

Emma was over the moon excited to have her Pocahontas dream come to life. It started months ago at our local thrift store where she found her boots. The costume from Kmart was right on the money.

Of course my Ethan wanted one of the top Halloween costumes for 2014… Transformers Bumblebee.

I couldn’t help but giggle when he slid into this cute little muscle costume.

Ethan instantly acted like his strength had multiplied by 100x. Amazing how their imaginations work.

The kids had a great time outside with their new costumes and resisted changing when I suggested we might not want to get them dirty just yet.

These two adorable costumes are just a drop in the bucket. Kmart offers a broad collection of licensed costumes for kids and adults including top options from Spiderman, Monsters High, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

With the national costume spending average at around $26, we want every bang we can get from our buck, right?  Kmart’s new line of costumes for girls from Totally Ghoul that offer 3-in-1 styles go a step beyond “costume”. For the price of one costume ($29.99) our girls can have three options perfect for school, a party and trick-or-treating! Yep… wear beyond Halloween is a huge plus!

If you have a party in your future – Kmart has spooky decorations for both indoor and outdoor to make your house the creepiest on the block. I love these lighted eyes. I think they’d be perfect to put in our bushes for an eery “who’s that looking at me” effect. Placed just right they’d look like they are peeking out.

The best part about shopping for all my Halloween supplies at Kmart… you can pick up all the items in one trip or shop online and choose to pick up at the store nearest you. It doesn’t get any easier than that!
