I have to say that having a tablet that the kids can use has been extremely useful in more ways than one. Not only are they distracted when I need a minute to myself, but a lot of the apps they play have some value to them. They are learning while they are playing… and that’s cool!
Ethan has been my main user for the Galaxy Tablet, as he still stays home with me during the day. He just turned 5 and enjoys video games.
Here is a list of his 10 favorite games (close to in order of his favorites) that he plays on my Galaxy Tablet.
Surprised? Yes… my son is a.d.d.i.c.t.e.d. to this game. He eats, sleeps and constantly talks about it. I love that it involves creative thinking and deep problem solving skills. He has to view which zombies are coming and then plan his attack to stay alive. Sounds gross, but there’s no blood involved and some of the zombies are just outright funny.
Help Swampy by guiding water to his broken shower. Each level is a challenging physics-based puzzle with amazing life-like mechanics. Cut through dirt and guide fresh water, dirty water, toxic water, steam, and ooze through increasingly challenging scenarios! Every drop counts!
This game helps hand eye coordination. They have to make split second decisions to keep from running into a train.
DASH as fast as you can! DODGE the oncoming trains! Help Jake, Tricky & Fresh escape from the grumpy Inspector and his dog.
A mysterious package has arrived, and the little monster inside has only one request… CANDY! Collect gold stars, discover hidden prizes and unlock exciting new levels in this addictively fun, award-winning, physics-based game!
Engage with kids in fun learning games tied to everyday experiences – cooking in the kitchen, a trip to the grocery store, bath time, riding in a car, a visit to the park. This bilingual (English/Spanish) app makes anytime learning time!
Join Agent P in the next addicting physics-based puzzler from the creators of Where’s My Water?
Help Agent P get to headquarters for mission briefing by guiding water or steam to power his secret transportation tubes! Transform water in cool forms like ice, steam and solids to solve all sorts of mind-bending puzzles! Every drop counts when it’s SPY TIME!
Really no educational value to this except hand eye coordination… and it makes them laugh. Touch the fish and they fart.
I have to play this one with them, but Emma loves this one as well. Remember Mad Libs from elementary school? Yep, fill in the blanks with nouns, verbs etc and then it will give you a funny story to read out loud.
Kindergarten Word Play is for kids who know their ABCs and are now learning how those alphabets make words. Kindergarten Word Lite is a set of 25 interactive exercises to teach kids about 20 words. Phonics, images and spoken words create a complete learning experience in this app. The Full version has 250+ exercises with 200+ words.
A memory game for kids, but you grown-ups may find yourselves struggling to beat your kids’ times in matching all the pairs.
The object of the game is to turn over pairs of matching cards. It’s easy. Tap to flip two cards. Match a pair and they disappear. But flip quickly … the clock is ticking.
Everyone in my family are addicted to Plants VS Zombies….. it’s addicting, yes even me!
Plants vs Zombies is a very fun game to play. I like Fish Farts and wonder how fun this is. The Galaxy Tablet sure has a lot of fun games for kids to play! I know my nephew would love to play these a lot!
This looks amazing.
Would love to get one.
My kids LOVE the Perry app! It’s so cute – even my sister got sucked in to it one evening !LOL
What a great selection of games!
cute apps 🙂 we don’d do much in the way of them, but these are nice
Sam, you know your little guy loved Fish Farts in the transport van … give it a shot LOL!
