We have been slowly been making over Emma’s room. When we started her room was a huge mess.

We were able to start the process with a loft bed, which gave her more space for her things. She was happy, but her room wasn’t quite where we wanted it. Emma started kindergarten this year and quickly became a “big kid” giving up many of her “little girl” toys. The princess castle and toy bins were traded for a bean bag and book shelf for a reading knook and her kitchen area was traded in for a vanity where she now does her hair and makeup (lip gloss). The owl rug is a good size at 30″x40x”0.375″ that filled just the right amount of space on the floor. I am in absolute love with this adorable owl and his buddy the bird would be living in my own bedroom if my husband didn’t have anything to say about it. It’s a great quality rug that accents and brings out the green in her wall perfectly.

The canvas prints alone look like two totally different styles that shouldn’t be put together. When you get them side by side they are perfect together. I thought, at first, that they might not be quite big enough to fill the space like I wanted… but once hung they make a statement without overpowering the wall.

The bedding is something I have never seen in a store before. It’s a mixture of vintage and new trends. Emma loves how “big” it makes her room look. I love that it’s more than just pink overload (as you know, Emma loves pink).

The owl pillow is the cherry on top of everything. I squealed when I pulled him out of the box and gave him a good squeeze. Having the green owl pillow on the bed brings out the accent colors in the bedspread and compliments the prints on the wall.

I love how I didn’t have to pull up photos and put them side by side trying to figure out what would look good with what. The mix and match aspect of these pieces makes shopping a joy and opening the box like Christmas. There were a few other items on the site that we hope to eventually add to the design… the wall decals, the owl lamp base and lamp shade, but Emma is in love with her “new room”. There is so much love… the colors, the quality and the adorable characters. I would highly recommend Lolli Living from Living Textiles to anyone looking for children’s bedding and room décor.
