Once upon a time… I did not like coffee. Not. At. All.  Fast forward to just a couple of years ago when someone encouraged me to try flavored coffee creamers. Now picture the clouds parting, streams of sunshine sifting through and angels singing. Well… it wasn’t that dramatic but I am officially a coffee addict. Most mornings I will stumble down the stairs to the coffee pot and start the preparation process. If you follow me on Facebook you’ve seen a post or two about forgetting to put water in the pot or maybe even the coffee (yes, I am quite the airhead in the mornings).

I now have taken a step out of my fumbling process with the SOAT Electric Coffee Grinder. This is an electric coffee grinder that uses the burr method of grinding. This is one smart grinder. First you fill the back container (which holds enough beans for 22 cups of coffee) with your fresh beans. Then use the turn-knob control to choose your grind from fine to coarse. There are 18 types of grinds to choose… from automatic drip, espresso or even French press. The knob on the front turns so you can choose how many cups you are grinding for. This can easily be adjusted for a stronger pot or weaker. I chose 12 cups as we brew 12 cups of coffee. After the first grind I took my measurement scoop out that we usually use and found that the grinder made 2 pots worth on the 12 cup setting. We must make a weak cup of coffee! Smile It was easily adjusted and now on the 6 setting we have enough to make a 12 cup pot of coffee … just right.

I love the convenience of this machine. It is fully automatic. Once I have the beans poured in and my settings just right it’s just a touch of the button and it grinds away. The aroma of fresh coffee sifts through the kitchen and it’s heavenly. This grinder is equipped with a safety switch, cord storage in the bottom and comes with a stainless steel grinding plate.

I’m in love with my grinder and the ease of prep in the morning. No more wondering if I’ve put too many or too few beans in the grinder… it’s all automatic. The color and style compliment my other countertop appliances and it has a rather small footprint (Dimensions (L x W x H ): 17.6*10.0*25.1cm).
