Barilla Microwaveable Meals | A Healthier Quick Fix Meal
My husband and oldest daughter spend a majority of their time during the week away from home. My husband at work and my daughter at work/college classes. We are a brown bagging family and try to fix healthier on-the-go options, but on occasion we forget to plan ahead and need something to grab in a minutes notice. Fortunately we recently received this assortment of Barilla’s shelf stable microwave meals… as they have already saved the day twice for us!
We love pasta, but have recently switched to whole grain varieties. I was so pleased to see that Barilla has heard our cries and is making healthier options with whole grains as well! With these meals being 100% Natural Ingredients, having no preservatives and relatively low calories (only 320 calories per meal) I feel good about offering these options to my family. Talk about quick… they are ready in 60 seconds! Even my picky daughter loved it and asked me to purchase more!
Making these healthier choices helps us be the best example possible for our younger children. Offering these quick, delicious and healthy meals instead of driving through fast food helps lay a better foundation of good choices for Emma and Ethan. Barilla microwave meals are high quality and all natural meals in a quick & easy to serve container… Since they are available in five varieties there is something for everyone. I will be stocking up on several of them for our pantry!

Artisanal and homemade compotes are best stored in sealed jars, stacked vertically in a dry, cool place. They should not be exposed to dramatic changes of temperature and should therefore be kept on the bottom shelved of a panty where the temperature is cooler.
Once opened, it is suggested that you store the products, well closed, in the refrigerator. It is important that jams and compotes be consumed fairly quickly, because once they come in contact with the air, they begin to loose their fragrance and flavor.
