It’s been 47 weeks on Nutrisystem for myself and 43 weeks for Kaytlin.
It’s confession time.
Kaytlin and I have been on hiatus of sorts (from Nutrisystem). After being on an eating plan for about 11 months, I was yearning to eat the same dinners I was cooking for my family. I wanted to eat Papa Johns with the crew. You know the drill. It was slow at first, but then I basically went on a Nutrisystem strike. I only ate the breakfast and lunch items and tossed in my own menu. Kaytlin has been feeling the same way, but after a short discussion this weekend we both felt it was time to jump back on the wagon and go for the gusto. The holidays are quickly closing in on us and we want to be in control.
So the food has been restocked in our cabinets and we are dusting off our running shoes. It’s time to hit the pavement running again (literally).
Wish us luck!
I am proud to say that in three weeks off plan, I only gained .4 lbs.
That puts me at 32.6 lbs in 47 weeks

You guys are doing great!!
Wow, I like the honesty 🙂 I’m looking to lose some weight but just can’t seem to figure out what I want to do. Nutrisystem looks interesting. This was also very encouraging to me.
Congrats are your weight loss success so far! Keep it up!!
good for you!! you are doing awesome!!
Good job. Be proud and stay on track!
Okay, I’m getting inspired. I read one of your posts yesterday and now this one. I’ve actually been doing a lot of reading about this to motivate me. I found a great recipe that has to be good for me and want to drop some weight. When my daughter passed, I turned to food as my drug of choice. I told myself (and do believe) that it was better than street drugs or booze…but sooner or later enough has to be enough.
I’m not ready to go “all in”. But I’m willing to make manageable changes. Like the recipe. Sauteed cauliflower, garlic, and onions. Then put it in chicken broth and simmered. Then pureed. No cream, no fat. And it tastes good.
Sorry..hijack over 🙂
Congrats on your success so far! We all need a break from time to time. I’m cheering you on as we get closer to the holidays!
You are doing so great!!
Great job! i’m also in the process of losing weight, 20lbs down so far and about 15lbs to go.
Way to go yall!!! Keep it up!
Congrats on the weight loss! I know how good that feels! I just yesterday finally went out and bought two new pairs of jeans. They were a size 6. The jeans I wore into the store were a size 10.
thanks for being such an inspiration and not just to weight loss but stick-to-it-tiveness and not giving up on graphing

Congratulations on your achievement. I tried NutriSystem several years ago, but didn’t really card for the food.
Both of you have made tremendous strides. To take a little break was not a horrible thing as you jumped back on rather quickly. I know. I quit smoking and had a thyroid issue and gained weight then crushed my ankle and knee. I spent 4 months in medical rehab feeling I would still get my weight loss surgery later on which was denied so I started at 382 and am only down to 335 due to gaining 7 pounds over the summer. I am in a wheel chair for the most part so dieting is the most important. I will get there as will the 2 of you! Best of Luck for thinner, healthier selves!

Congratulations on your weight loss. My step-dad ordered this, and I tried some of the food….yuck is how I felt about it. Many of the ingredients I found to be unhealthy, and I was allergic to many of their ingredients. Basically the system is about dropping calorie consumption and exercise. I cannot exercise as I am disabled, but I found the information on the calorie consumption interesting. I compared their food and calories to the better tasting stuff in the freezer case at the grocery store. I found out I could have low calories and better tasting food for a better cost by shopping at the grocery store.
Cutting calories consumed during each and every day worked good for losing some pounds. But in my case I had to cut more than the recommended amount by Nutrisystem. Most likely because of the exercise factor. Could I lose lots and lots of weight ? It took me 3 months to lose 10 lbs. But …I couldn’t exercise and exercise is the biggest factor I feel. Also, I found out I had a blocked gall bladder. When your bile cannot properly flow in and out of the gall bladder and aid in digestion, it affects the way a person handles fats/grease and sugars, and the way other digestive system organs work. This blocked gallbladder also affected the “spincter of odie” (spelling ?). So I would be hungry when I had eaten plenty and not feel hungry when I hadn’t eaten. For a long time I ate without being aware why I was eating or not eating, but knew something was wrong. I thought it was merely stress (I’ve been through a lot of it), but now realize how much of my dietary behavior had been affected by this long undiagnosed problem. I am hoping that if I can find a way to pay for surgery to remove the huge 2.6 centimeter gallstone blocking the neck of my gallbladder that I can drop more weight. Also weight gain can be tied into peri-menopause. Ladies if you don’t know what that is, you better start using your search box, as it can be an unwanted surprise as you get into your late 30’s and into your 40’s.
Nutrisystem can be beneficial for those who need a “program” to discipline themselves. But I sure wish the food was better tasting and healthier. Hope you don’t mind my honesty.
Congratulations on a job well done. I’ve always wondered how Nutrisystems worked….
