My son watched his first Avengers movie the other day and has been chattering non-stop about it ever since. Iron Man seems to be a favorite, so when I saw the new Playmation set with the Repulsor Gear (powered by J.A.R.V.I.S.) I knew he would love it.
The detail in the packaging alone adds to the excitement of unpacking the gear. They’ve even included a quick little note on the Replusor box from Tony Stark himself!
I was amazed at how solid the Repulsor gear felt and with the details on the Captain America and Ultron figure it’s enough to get any child (young or old) giddy.
Setting up is quick and easy. For best results use Duracell batteries. Once installed switch on your Repulsor Gear and wait for your instructions from J.A.R.V.I.S. Yes! Just like Iron Man!
You are now a recruit for the Avengers and will go on missions and fight villains all over the world. Each battleground has it’s own mission. With the help of J.A.R.V.I.S. (and other recruits in multi-player mode) you can defend the Earth.
If you happen to have access to an iOS device, a quick download of the AvengersNet app will help you track your battle and give you a direct link to Avengers Headquarters to see where you are needed the most.
I have to say that although I had my children in mind when I heard about Playmation, I am super glad the Repulsor is adjustable and will fit an adult. It’s freeing to be able to let loose and get caught up in the story and fun of it all with the kids. Now we just need to add to our arsenal with more figures and maybe a Repulsor so Mom & Dad can play along (instead of taking over)!

This is a completely new way to play for today’s kids but I an struck by its similarity to games played in days gone by. Playmation looks like a lot of fun. There is also an app that you can download for free that goes along with Playmation and it has a lot of really cool features that enhance the play even more.

War Machine is a character!
i l ike that the technology is wearable. it teaches technology, to kids, i think kids would have an easier time with this game than adults. i like they can choose which character they like and there are so many parts to the game, they would never get bored.
