Pacific Play Tent One Touch Lil’ Nursery Tent

Summer is almost here and that means lots of sun! With my kid’s complexions this means finding ways to be outside while being protected from the sun. Pacific Play Tents has some great solutions for getting outside and still staying protected through shade. I was sent their One Touch Lil’ Nursery Tent to put to the test.

Locking
The set up is super easy. You just have to take it out of the carrying case that it comes with, straighten out the posts and lock the top into place. There is no threading posts through the tent, no getting posts tangled up… it’s all one piece.

Unlocking
Take down is just as simple, pull up on the top lock and then fold the tent up. Set up and take down is so simple that my 6 year old son loves to do it himself.

Mesh Sides
The sides and the door of the tent are a nice mesh so there is great air flow that goes through, while the top and back panel is a polyester panel to keep your little one shaded.  The door closes using velcro all the way around. This makes it easy for the kids to open and close it on their own.

My only wish for this tent would be for the door to roll up for storage instead of down. When the mesh door is open, it stays attached at the bottom. This leaves the mesh to get walked on by the kids as they enter and exit the tent. I would have it roll up to the top so it doesn’t get walked on and get holes or tears in it. You can roll the door where it is attached for an unobstructed doorway, but my kids are constantly unrolling it so they can close the door and when they exit they leave it on the ground to get walked on.

Room to play
When we went camping last year we were in a site that had full sun all day and we had to get creative to create shade for the kids. This year the One Touch Lil’ Nursery Tent will be coming with us as it is so easy to take along and doesn’t take up much space at all.
