WOOFtale | Track Locate and Train Your Dog

A few weeks ago we adopted our dog Zoey from a local shelter. There are over 100,000 homeless dogs in great britain at any given time so we thought we would do our part.
For the most part Zoey has been a well behaved and mostly trained addition to our family.
We just have one small problem… she likes to run away from us.
This can be BAD. Zoey is a Jack Russell terrier mix and can run like the wind when she wants.
Fortunately, we think she thinks it’s a game because if we turn and walk away from her she follows.
So when I heard about WOOFtale I decided to check it out.

I am most excited about the training videos because we NEED to teach Zoey “come”, “sit”, and “stay”. The GPS tracking doesn’t hurt along the way, though, in case she gets lost before she is trained!

I signed up! I think I like the ability to track your pet the best. While my dogs are kept in my yard or on leashes for walks and aren’t allowed to wander, I have five rescued Treeing Walker Coonhounds and if you know hounds, you know they love to follow their noses. They have slipped out of the house or yard in the past and I’d love to be able to locate them right away if they should get lost.
I like the community feature for help in coordinating meetups and activities with local like minded pet lovers.

I signed up. The feature in particular I like is the GPS availability. We’ve had two neighbors have their dogs run off and the stress of finding them and not knowing where they went was awful. GPS would certainly solve that part of the issue.

I LOVE the Security feature. The GPS 24/7 is awesome! One of my dogs used to jump the fence if she got out the door in time (since then, I have changed the way I let her out), but this would have saved me a lot of money!

How is this different from TAGG
When will Wooftale tracker be available ?
Is this even a real product? I’ve gotten tons of marketing material for months, but no solid information. We’re certainly past spring, and “early summer” seems to have slipped away, too. Their Facebook page is just a bunch of links to cute dog videos. They really should have a date, price, and specifications by now if they’re going ahead with this thing.
