The critics have called this show ‘awesome’, ‘spectacular’ and ‘breathtaking.  This updated production will showcase changes to the dinosaurs based on the latest scientific research including the likely feathering of some species. Worldwide, more than eight million people have seen this show in 243 cities and over 2,000 performances.

The show is narrated by a “Paleontologist” who brings us through the dinosaurs’ evolution with almost cinematic realism. WALKING WITH DINOSAURS THE ARENA SPECTACULAR has scenes of the interactions between dinosaurs, how carnivorous dinosaurs evolved to walk on two legs, and how the herbivores fended off their more agile predators.

Ten species are represented from the entire 200 million year reign of the dinosaurs.  The show includes the Tyrannosaurus Rex, the terror of the ancient terrain, as well as the Plateosaurus and Liliensternus from the Triassic period, the Stegosaurus and Allosaurus from the Jurassic period and Torosaurus and Utahraptor from the awesome Cretaceous period.  The largest of them, the Brachiosaurus is 36 feet tall, and 56 feet from nose to tail.  It took a team of 50 – including engineers, fabricators, skin makers, artists and painters, and animatronic experts – a year to build the production.

Our family of six were incredibly excited to attend this production, especially our youngest. Although he’s only six, he knows he loves dinosaurs and would like to be a Paleontologist when he grows up.

At view of the first dinosaur Ethan’s eyes grew three sizes and his jaw dropped open. Every single dinosaur was presented in a realistic way that made you forget you were watching a production. We saw their curious side, their survivalist side, and even their loving side as mother and child snuggle while we watch.

I didn’t not get a single negative comment from our group. We had ages 6, 8, 9, 17, 22 and 44 attend and every single one of us had an amazing time. I particularly appreciated that the dinosaurs made their way around the arena and stopped once at each side so that that part of the arena could get a good look at them as the narrator told us their story. The realism of their roar was felt by all and my six year old kept asking me how they were “moving the floor” as he was grasping my arm for comfort as T-Rex shook our seats with his roar.

The best part was that although thoroughly entertained, the children did not even realize they were “learning” as they were carried through the Crataceous, Jurassic, and Triassic periods with narration and special effects. All of us agreed, though, that we enjoyed the T-Rex portion of the show a little more than the rest. Baby T-Rex had a hilarious roar… check out the short clip we captured.
