I am a self admitted coffee addict. I probably drink at least 3 (16 ounce) cups of Joe every day, sometimes more.
I am also a huge Keurig fan. We have tried several versions, from the B60, the OfficePro Premier B155 and the K10 Mini. We’ve enjoyed every single one of these units, but sometimes you just want more than a single cup of coffee. Sometimes you need a pot so that you can serve a few people at once.

We were sent a Keurig 2.0 K550 system to try for ourselves.

I was so excited about the new versatility of the Keurig 2.0. I immediately skipped a single cup and had to brew a carafe.
Although the K Cup is larger for the carafe, it slid into position with ease.
Once the lid is closed you are able to choose how many cups you want to brew.
The display then alerts you that it is brewing and to not lift up the lid.
I love how easy the display is to read and how easy it is to program the Keurig to your liking. From customizing the screen & nightlight, to setting or reading the time. The touch sensitivity is set so that you are not jabbing at the screen and the color display makes it easier to read (easier on the eyes).
Within minutes you have a fresh carafe of quality coffee to enjoy by yourself (I take mine to my office and sip all morning) or share with others.
The Keurig 2.0 is so customizable. There is an auto brew option and a strength control setting for brewing bolder coffee. There’s even a separate setting for hot cocoa and other specialty beverages like lattes and mochas. Just need a cup of hot water? Yep, it even offers hot water on demand.
If you are a current K Cup user and are thinking of upgrading to the Keurig 2.0 please be aware that you can only use Keurig K Cups in this machine.
Most K Cups on the market have been updated with the new label, but you might have some of the older ones at home. Look for the ring around the outer edge where it says KEURIG BREWED.
The Keurig 2.0 accepts both a single cup K Cup and the Carafe size which is the equivalent of 4 single cups.
I have found that if you shop around for the best value, you can brew a quality cup of coffee at home with the Keurig for a tad bit less than an “on sale” cup at your local convenience store. With over 250+ varieties to choose from you are bound to find some within your budget. I even found our local club store brand K Cups that were labeled to work in the Keurig 2.0!

I have a Keurig but I do not have this model. I like that I can make an easy cup of Coffee and it is fast and fresh! I also like the ability to make a carafe when I have company. This Keurig really is an elite model!
I love the design and style on this one much better then the older model. Fits in with the kitchen decor in our home more and the appliances.

Finally combines a one cup keurig with a regular coffee maker. When i have a big party of people, it’s easier to use a coffee maker but keurig is nice for guests who want decaf or tea or whatever, this is great!

This Keurig is awesome! I had no idea it had a Color Touch Display and I love the Brewer Maintenance Alerts! These features alone make it worth the purchase! The Keurig I have now is nine years old and while it has lasted and gets the job done, this 2.0 has all the bells and whistles! Made for a real coffee drinker!

I am glad they made the shift to adding the carafe, but of course none too happy about them cutting back a competitor’s market on the kcups redesign.

I think it’s great that they’ve made it to were you can make a whole pot of coffee. I’m not sure I would use it but I know others would. My whole reason for wanting a Keurig is so that I don’t feel guilty for wasting coffee when I just want one cup.
Love the sizes, having the ability to brew more or less coffee is great for when it’s just you or a group.
All the features sound great, I was ooo’ing and ah’ing through the entire post! Love the carafe and taking it to my home office idea and the instant hot water because I’m a big hot tea drinker as well!

I love the option of brewing a carafe instead of just a single cup, and the sleek design is definitely an improvement. I’m a little disappointed that the machine only reads Keurig k-cups, as I have stockpiled a lot of k-cups that are store brand or from indie coffee companies, so that would be the one sticking point that would make me think twice about upgrading now!
