So much has happened since my last post. I had decided that my clothes were fitting me a bit awkwardly so Kaytlin and I went shopping for a few new items for me.
I was pleasantly surprised to find that I was down a size at my favorite store!
So many milestones… I found a strapless bra that worked and stayed up, I bought a sundress (haven’t worn a dress outside of a “work” function in forever because I wasn’t comfortable) and, last but not least, I felt pretty. It’s been a while since I’ve felt attractive in the slightest.
So that led me to dig up my “before” picture…
I posted the 7 week photo above on our date night via social media. Some of the comments I got back surprised me and boosted my self confidence. Someone actually told me I had to be wrong that I had only lost just under 17 pounds because there was a bigger difference. (please ignore my silly teenager photo bombing me in the “before” lol)
My weigh in was correct, but looking at the pictures I think that the confidence I was feeling helped make the photo even more attractive.
Although my weight loss has slowed, it hasn’t reversed and I think my body is taking a small break from the rapid weight loss from the beginning.
Now that summer is here I am focusing on getting out more and moving my butt. The photo above is of this past weekend at the Color Run… a 5k focused on fun.
It was fun and I even jogged a bit a couple of times! 🙂 I’m considering breaking out my running shoes and giving it a try again.
So….
My weight los totals:
week 1 | – 10 pounds | -10 |
week 2 | – .8 | – 10.8 total |
week 3 | – 3 | – 13.8 total |
week 4 | + .6 | – 13.2 total |
week 5 | – 3.8 | – 17 total |
week 6 | + .4 | – 16.6 total |
week 7 | – 0 | – 16.6 total |
My goal is to lose 25 pounds by the end of 3 months.
Kaytlin is still trying to find her groove in this process now that school has let out. With a couple weeks home she is heading back to college to work during the summer. She mentioned to me that focusing is easier for her there because the “extra” food (for the other members of our family not on the program) is not available and so her only choices are Nutrisystem food and her healthy extras she’s purchased.
We are hoping for a nice jump in loss soon!
Kaytlin’s loss:
week 1 | – 2.8 pounds | – 2.8 |
week 2 | – 1 | – 3.8 total |
week 3 | – 2 | – 5.8 total |
week 4 | – .2 | – 6 total |
week 5 | – 0 | -6 total |
week 6 | – .4 | -6.4 total |
week 7 | – .6 | -7 total |
As we head into our final month of the program we are both pushing for a fabulous finish.
What are YOUR fitness goals this summer?
I think you look fantastic in that pretty blue dress (and funny in the blue paint)
I swim 3 times a week and that helps me maintain my weight.
You look great in that sundress…keep up the GREAT work!
You look absolutely stunning in that dress, keep it up and don’t loose your motivation to keep going. I lost my motivation and now it’s sooo hard to get back in the work out routine.
