I can’t believe Cabbage Patch Kids have been around for 30 years now! Happy Birthday Cabbage Patch Kids! In celebration of their 30 years Cabbage Patch Kids had released a line of 30th Birthday Celebration Kids. I was excited to be getting a birthday celebration doll for my daughter.

Growing up we didn’t have the money to buy a real cabbage patch kid. I can remember wanting one so bad, all my friends had one and I never did get one. My sister and I were given a “home made” doll that was suppose to look like a cabbage patch kid, but it really was not the same. When I had my daughter I knew I was going to live my childhood dream through her and for her first Christmas we got her her first cabbage patch baby.

The day came and our new 30th Birthday Celebration Cabbage Patch Kid arrived in the mail.  She is a blond hair brown eyed little girl who is dressed in a blue shirt and purple polka dot skirt that matched her bow on her shirt. Her little pink cowgirl boots I thought were so adorable… they just finished off her outfit. She looks like she is ready for a party.

Her hair is such a soft silky texture that has cute curls with pink colored streaks through her hair. She comes with her own hair comb for styling her hair. With my daughter being younger I find putting the hair in pig tails or in a braid works best for now because the hair does get messy pretty easy otherwise. She isn’t old enough to style it herself yet.

I just love the work that goes into making each Cabbage Patch Kid. You can look at them and just see personality in each one, just like a real kid. Each kid comes with their own birth certificate and name. I personally love the names because when I ask my daughter what she wants to name her babies she tells me “baby”… she isn’t too creative when it comes to naming her babies. One of my favorite parts of Cabbage Patch Kids is pulling them out of the box and getting that baby powder smell, brings me back to childhood.

Christmas is coming I personally think that every little girl needs to have a Cabbage Patch kid or baby. If your child already has one then I say get her another friend! I don’t think you can have too many Cabbage Patch Kids. If you have a little boy they also have adorable little boy dolls too, they are too cute to pass up.
