Spring Home Makeover with Carpet One Tigressa SoftStyle Rug
Our lower living room flooring has been an issue for us for a while now. The carpet was old, beat down and stained so we tore it out and replaced it with faux wood. Because our house is a California split with four levels, the lower living room is on a concrete slab. The floor down there gets incredibly cold in the winter and stays rather chilly through spring and fall as well.
We tried to combat the cold with a regular throw rug but it just doesn’t have much pile. It kept our feet from having direct contact with the “wood”, but the room still seemed cold.
We have been fairly pleased with most aspects of this living room, so the only feature we thought could use a makeover is the floor covering. I had heard that Carpet One had a fabulous line of carpet called Tigressa that might be the perfect solution for our cold tootsies.
We were sent a 9 1/2’ x 9 1/2’ piece of Tigressa bound on the edges… in essence a Tigressa rug. Once it was rolled out I was excited to sink my toes in it! Take a look at how soft and plush it looks!
So how does it feel?
I slipped my shoes off and immediately after stepping on it I let out a long “aaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh!”. Seriously… it was that luxurious. I could curl my toes into it… it was that deep and it felt soft enough I wanted to lay down on it and rub my cheek against it. My son had a good time digging his hand into the pile to leave his hand print behind. I began to wonder what we had done before Tigressa. I had never realized that a carpet that is strong and long lasting could be so soft!
So how did it look?
It looks “aahhhh mazing!”. Some how the room looks warmer and more inviting. Is that possible? It definitely feels warmer on my feet when sitting on the couch.
My husband and I have had many discussions about this carpet. We will be having some serious foundation issues repaired mid May and have to rip out our faux wood flooring to have it done. We will be left with a concrete floor and are having to decide how to cover it (again). Tigressa has been brought up many times, this time a complete installation with padding… what do you think?
