5 Phases Hybrid Glass Baby Bottle
Product provided by 5 Phases for review purposes only. All opinions are 100% my own.
5 Phases bottles are a hybrid of glass and BPA Free Plastic. The Milk is contained in the glass portion of the bottle and is encapsulated in a plastic container. My mom was very concerned when I told her we were going to use glass bottles because she drops the plastic ones all the time. I assured her that the 5 Phases bottles were safe because the glass has a plastic covering that protects them and makes them shatter resistant. 5 Phases has made glass bottles that are safe, convenient, and unbreakable.
5 Phases came up with this modified design to give an alternative to parents who want to use glass bottles rather than plastic ones. There are tons of health concerns related to using plastics. I think we have all heard about BPA. It is said to have a hormone disrupting effect. Parents are concerned about the chemicals that leach from plastics into our foods and products used daily. Sadly, studies have shown even very small doses have been directly linked to early puberty, malformed genitals, infertility, reproductive disorders, diabetes, and cancer.
The creator of 5 Phases was inspired to make a safer alternative to traditional feeding bottles after giving birth to a micro-preemie baby. Having a compromised child forced her to explore and research many different avenues from the effects of chemicals in our environment to the benefits of alternative medicines. Creating this glass baby bottle is a way for her to share what she learned. She also blogs about her journey, chemicals in our environment, and organic eating.
I am breast feeding and pumping into bottles so that I can leave the baby with my mom to run errands and have date-night with my husband. My husband and mom have been using the 5 Phases bottles to feed my daughter, Camilla. We all love the oversized bottle. I feel extremely comfortable feeding her from the hybrid bottle. I was not nervous about the glass at all.
The best part of the 5 Phases bottles is the piece of mind. You are protecting your child from chemicals and injury. I was afraid to use glass before trying 5 Phases, but not anymore.

I have really wanted to try glass bottles but was concerned about breaking. I love that that is not a concern with these bottles.
I always wanted to try glass myself, but was afraid of dropping them. I’m glad that April was able to try these! Very ingenius product!
I learned that studies have shown throughout its lifecycle, plastics can continually leach chemicals.

I learned that a portion of their profits go to “Operation Smile”, an organization which helps provide surgery to those born with cleft palates and facial deformities. This alone makes me want to buy from this company, but I really do like the idea of glass bottles and reducing the exposure to plastics.
I like that they thought of the safety
I learned that their nipples are
vented and come in three different flows to
accommodate babies feeding demand.
I learned that all the components of 5 Phases bottles are BPA, phthalate and PVC free.
I like that it has VENTED silicone NIPPLE.
