Mattel’s Save The Bunny Campaign | Buy Toys This Easter

I was just notified of a somewhat disturbing and heartbreaking fact, the chocolate Easter bunny is nearing extinction! I guess I just hadn’t really thought about it, but I haven’t seen any scampering around our backyard as of lately. These adorable little guy are hunted down, made to be trophies on our children’s Easter baskets and leave our children on a sugar high for hours.

 

THIS HAS GOT TO STOP!


Of course all of that above is in jest, but Mattel’s new initiative to save the bunny is beyond adorable, isn’t it? I couldn’t agree with them more, though.

This year instead of filling your children’s Easter baskets with tons of sugary candy, fill them with surprises that will last for hours of creative sugar-free play! Right now Mattel is promoting the Save The Chocolate Bunny campaign with a sweepstakes. There is a new daily prize now through March 31, 2013 with a final grand prize valued at $4,000!

    We don’t do the chocolate Easter bunny at all. We do add candy but the bunny is just too much. The boys would attempt to eat the entire thing at once and that is just way too much sugar. This year we did find beautiful chocolate crosses and I couldn’t resist, but there isn’t any other candy being added. Lots of fun toys though!
