Disney Princess Ultimate Dream Castle
I remember the Christmas I got my Barbie dream house. I spent hours upon hours playing with that thing. I was the envy of the neighborhood and all my friends brought their Barbies over to play. I loved that toy for years.
Disney has created a princess version of that dream house for our little princess’s. The Disney Princess Ultimate Dream Castle is just that… a little girls ultimate dream. Based around seven princesses : Tiana, Belle, Jasmine, Ariel, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, & Cinderella : there is a room for each and every one of them.
Beware when you purchase this for your little girl that it comes in many pieces. That being said, the instructions are pretty straight forward. It guides you through the first 10 steps or so and then there is one large diagram that shows you where everything else goes. It takes about 20-30 minutes to assemble. Also be aware that this set does not come with dolls/princesses. If you purchase this as a gift be sure that your recipient has a few (Barbie works just as well) or you pick up one or two.
Now for the guided tour…
Tiana’s kitchen is brewing with lots of yummies… full of dishes, pots/pans and the whole nine yards. Belle’s dining room has the cart with Mrs. Pots and Chip as well as a rotating center on the table. Ariel’s bathroom is decked out with a deep tub and shower nozzle, towel rack and a bubbling toilet with shell lid.
Snow White’s dressing room table has all the beauty supplies a girl could want and if you turn the mirror over it shows a photo of Snow White and her prince… telling the future perhaps? Sleeping Beauty has a warm cozy bed and closet with hangers for all of their gowns. Cinderella’s show is on the staircase, which has a secret compartment that flips into the stairs. Jasmine has a flying carpet along the right side of the castle to get her up and down flights quickly.
The attention to detail is extraordinary with this castle. Nothing has been left out and everyone is in awe of it when they see it. Princesses and Barbies alike will have a hay day with all of the activities to participate in. This castle is buzzing with a doll in every room sometimes. It’s like a HUGE slumber party and everyone is invited.
What’s a princess castle without a princess or two, right? Mattel sent Emma her two favorite… just pure luck! She received the 2-in-1 Ariel and Tiana. These dolls have reversible clothes for two looks in one. These doll are around the same size as Barbie will the looks and quality that you expect from a Disney Princess doll.
So now Ariel can be her mermaid self while relaxing in the tub or have a beautiful gown on to dance the night away with the prince (I wonder when they will start making the prince dolls?). Tiana has an elegant green gown for evening wear and a pretty satin blue dress for cooking in the kitchen.
The Disney Princess Ultimate Dream Castle is just that… a little girls dream come true. The price is a bit steep, but in all honesty the amount of play that this toy will get will make it more than worth it. I can see girls clear up to 11 or 12 playing with this (maybe with younger girls to make it look “ok”), but I played with Barbie and dolls up to 13. Emma is now 5 and has a good 5 years left of play before she outgrows dolls. If you have two girls your investment will stretch even further. This is one toy I would definitely save for.
