I have been carrying a diaper bag most of my adult life. Pretty sad, huh? I’ve had so may diaper bags I could never count them all. Most were purchased at a local retailer or given to me at the hospital and they had to be replaced within 6-12 months… if you use them a lot and stuff them full like I do, they just rip at the seams.
After 19 years of being a parent I decided it was time to start carrying a diaper bag that was more for me but still functional for the kids things. My goal while searching was a bag that I would choose even if it wasn’t a diaper bag.
I found Amy Michelle bags by accident. Oh, my precious heavens, where have you been all my life?! After searching their site I found it amazing that these are diaper bags. I fell in love with several, but we decided on the Lotus bag.

Look at all that room inside the bag! There are pockets, pouches and zipper closure compartments around the interior of the bag, the outside side pocket where a diaper changing pad goes (comes with the bag in a beautiful red color) I use for papers, coupons etc. It has a magnetic closure for easy and quick in and out (one handed too!). I use the outside side pockets for water bottles and a large bottle of hand sanitizer.
It is very important that I can carry a lot of stuff and not feel like I am going to rip the bag apart by the seams. Even though I don’t carry diapers anymore, I still carry two sippy cups, two Munchie Mugs, a small bag of baby wipes, a change of clothes for Ethan, a Pull-Up, snacks for Mommy, my personal items, sometimes a camera &/or video camera and if traveling to Grandma and Grandpa’s for an evening visit, a pair of pajamas for each kid.
This is a shot of the bag last night before going to the soccer game to watch Joshua play. I had almost everything listed above in the bag and a box of Kleenex because Ethan and I are fighting a cold.
I am in love with my Amy Michelle Lotus bag and will continue to carry it even when I don’t have a ton of toddler things to toss into it

Love that so many pieces are easily transitioned for when you dont have the little one with you so you dont have to worry about constantly moving your stuff from bag to bag.
